I stumbled across both of these videos recently and couldn’t help but notice the similarity in how they both use hoops. I like to call it “ring rollin’ but if there is an actual name to this style of hooping, someone please tell me. I’ll probably still call it “ring rollin’” tho cuz, mostly, I just like to make up new names for things. Just warning.

Bob Bramson is an old-school juggling performer with amazing ring-rolling skills. His energy and performance is direct opposite to this next video by RawArt.org., which is very artful and sensuous.

I enjoyed watching both of these. They inspire me to make a video that combines the feel of both of these videos =  silly and dead sexy. That pretty much describes me, yes?

Know what else is fun? Playing these both simultaneously in this post. (Just maybe mute the sound.) Sorta funny. Sorta.

In honor + support of the Hoopnotica challenge to Leno + Conan to hash things out with a hooping battle, Mike (my hubs) and I did a little video to encourage and give tips to Conan. Go Team Coco!

Presenting the Detroit Fire Guild from Womp A Saurus on Vimeo.

You simply must watch this. I’m jealous of it. And it inspires me to make something as epic for our Milwaukeean Tribe.

I also like that they’re making use of those crumbling + abandoned Detroit buildings. Hurrah, people!

I can’t help it.  I know it’s pretty much the dead of winter but I still can’t help but think about Spring and Summer.  Those delicious warm days are like a fantasy here in Wisconsin.  Yes, I know they’ll be here eventually, but I still feel a sense that those seasons just have an extra sort of joy, freedom…magic perhaps.

Sorry Winter, after the holidays, you just kind of suck.

And so it’s only natural that my newest design should be the opposite of a snowflake.  Darling, cute, anthropomorphic, kawaii flowers–based off of colorfully taped hoops.

I designed them so they each have their own personality.  Which one do you relate to?!

Dazey

As in dazed and confused.  She just doesn’t quite get it sometimes.  Easily distracted, but still tries her best.  She can’t help it that her mind is interested in a thousand things at the same time.

Cheery

The shortest, stumpiest of the group.  Kinda like the baby.  But she’s got the most spirit.  Always happy and enthused.

Sunny

The leader of the group.  Confident and strong, towering over the other flowers in a protective and yet graceful way.

Cheeky

Sassy and playful.  Kind of a trouble-maker.  Wink wink.  Hey look!  She’s waving at you.

If I had to say which one/s I relate to the most, I would say Dazey (because I think I am A.D.D oftentimes) and Cheery (because I am petite and the baby of my family).

Check out the shirts and accessories available for Happy Hoop Flowers here.  Flower designs available singly or together as a group!  In shades of blue, orange or pink!

Also, Sunny is available in a sticker here in our limited edition shop!

I hope they make you smile as much as they make me smile!
